Join RTO 9 and CGLCC - Canada's LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce for this highly engaging, in-person workshop and lunch. 

This workshop is designed to help businesses learn how to effectively understand, value and serve your LGBTQ2AI+ employees and customers. 

Learn ways your business can become more inclusive to one of the world's largest travel markets by addressing the needs of both your internal team who identify as LGBTQ2AI+ as well as potential LGBTQ2AI+ customers.

 Attendees will also hear about programs offered by Canada's Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce that will assist you in working with this market.

 This is an engaging workshop with a working lunch.

 Presentation will begin at 10:00 an intro to the LGBTQ2AI+ Travel market an exploration of terminology, orientation, gender identity, and gender expression inclusion considerations for LGBTQ2AI+ workers and customers Lunch break including presentation on LGBT+ programs. (lunch will be provided).

 Workshop a scenario designed to explore and encourage discussion of what inclusion in the workplace can and should look like (i.e. allyship, inclusive practices, etc. a series of scenarios designed to explore and encourage discussion of what supporting LGBTQ2AI+customers can and should look like (i.e. policies and practices, intervention, etc.) 

Next steps: an opportunity to encourage participants to consider and commit to their next steps Q&A What Does it Mean to be Rainbow Registered? Rainbow Registered is national standard for LGBTQ2AI+ safe and welcoming spaces developed by Canada’s Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC) and Tourism HR. When you see a Rainbow Registered symbol, you know the business or organization meets a stringent set of standards to ensure LGBTQ2AI+ customers feel safe, welcomed, and accepted. 

The Benefits of Accreditation Accredited businesses will be able to demonstrate and market themselves as safe destinations for the LGBTQ2AI+ market.

 A listing in the Rainbow Registered directory – the national directory of businesses certified as LGBTQ2AI+ friendly at the Rainbow Registered website.

 Accredited businesses will have access to other resources e.g., Rainbow Registered Welcome Kit (window decal, desk card), CGLCC Associate Member Benefits.

About the Speaker

Jeff St. Denis (he/him) is a management consultant known for creating engaged and inclusive places to work with nearly 15 years’ experience in HR, training, organizational development, diversity &inclusion, and strategy. He founded Culture Catalyst Inc. to help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) across Canada and the U.S. become talent magnets with strategic human resources and diversity, equity & inclusion solutions. Jeff cut his teeth in the hospitality industry in Vancouver, where he grew up. He then moved cross-country to the nation’s capital, then eventually to Toronto. He’s worked and led teams on the frontlines, as well as at global headquarters, spent time at a communications agency and at one of the Big Four. He’s consulted in different verticals including financial services, banks, utilities, manufacturing, hospitality, tech, not-for-profit, among others. He’s an MBA Candidate, Management Consulting Specialization at Royal Roads University’s School of Business and is an out and proud member of the Canadian Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.
