During this info session we’ll cover the changes made to legislation and how to navigate them! Starting January 1, 2026, Ontario employers must comply with major updates under Bill 190 – Working for Workers Five Act, 2024.
Key Changes for Employers (Jan 1, 2026)
- Pay Transparency: Must include a salary/wage range in all publicly advertised jobs.
- AI Disclosure: If using AI to screen/assess, you must disclose it in the posting.
- No Canadian Experience: Cannot require Canadian work experience in postings or applications.
- Vacancy Status: Must state if the posting is for an existing vacancy.
-Post-Interview Notification: Inform candidates (within 45 days of the last interview) if a hiring decision was made.
- Record Retention: Keep copies of job postings and applications for 3 years.
