Financial & Investment Services
Allan R Joudoin QAFP ® CLU ® entered the financial services sector in 2009 with Freedom 55 Financial after 20 successful years in plant management and director roles in manufacturing where he was respected for being results-oriented, possessing excellent business judgement, and consistently demonstrating the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
Allan firmly believes that no two financial journeys are alike, that your plan should be just as unique as you are regardless of your age, income level, or background and that relationships must be built on trust and transparency. Trust is necessary so that you can have the challenging conversations that personal finances can often involve. When it comes to your financial well-being, it’s all about partnering with a financial planner who is uncompromisingly committed to putting your interests first – and no one else, and who has attained the highest standards of excellence by meeting education, experience, exam, and ethics requirements.
Allan’s diverse business management background provided valuable insight into becoming a Financial Planner because financial planning is a disciplined, multi-step process of assessing an individual’s current financial and personal circumstances against their future desired state and developing strategies that help meet their personal goals, needs and priorities in a way that aims to optimize the allocation of their resources. Financial planning considers the interrelationships among relevant financial planning areas in formulating appropriate strategies. Financial planning areas include financial management, insurance and risk management, investment planning, retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning and legal aspects. Financial planning is an ongoing process involving regular monitoring of an individual’s progress toward meeting their personal goals, needs and priorities, a re-evaluation of financial strategies in place and recommended revisions, where necessary.
As a graduate of the Electrical Engineering program at St. Lawrence College Brockville, Allan has dedicated his career to lifelong learning, opting to expand his knowledge in the areas of financial planning and has achieved earning the professional designations of QAFP® (QUALIFIED ASSOCIATE FINANCIAL PLANNER™) and CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter). As a volunteer, Allan has most recently served on the Capital Campaign Committee to build the new ACCC Arena in the town of Prescott, ON, Past-Chair of the Ben Hutton ShootOut for Alzheimer’s Charity Golf Tournament, and Past-Chair of the Board of Directors at the Grenville Community Futures Development Corporation. As a hockey coach for many years, he has mentored players who have reached the holy grail of becoming professional hockey players in the NHL and Europe.
Allan (Old Pop) and his wife Yvonne (Oma) are devoted to their very active family and cherish their family vacations. In his spare time, Allan is committed to his physical fitness and is an avid golfer and cyclist.
